Hello, my name is Brian Thomas. I'm a professional piano teacher based in Coventry offering enjoyable piano lessons suitable for all abilities.
I am an experienced piano teacher who has worked with the Performing Arts Service in Coventry for several years, taught in many local primary schools around the city as well as tutored many private piano students.
I am well placed to teach different styles and genres, enabling my students to take grades should they wish to and learn through the music that they are passionate about.
I teach both younger students aged 5+ and adults of all ages, this is inclusive of all levels from beginners to more advanced students.

I strongly believes that to get the most from your piano lessons, you need to play songs that you enjoy. For that reason, lessons are tailored towards your interests and style, whilst also covering the basics. So no matter what your level, I can help you improve!
Everyone is welcome to learn, be they children just starting out, or adults wishing to develop their musical interest or returning to playing.
Lessons are pay-as-you-go, weekly, fortnightly or as suits you.

I teach both 1/2 and 1 hour lessons, with the 1/2 hour lessons being most suited to younger students. I would recommend committing to a regular lesson slot to enable you to progress at a speed that suits you, building on your knowledge of the instrument each week.

I believe that learning piano is a great experience for students of any age, whether it offers an introduction into the world of music for younger students or brings back fond memories of a bygone era for older students. It is a beautiful instrument to play and one that takes dedication and commitment to master. Nonetheless, almost everyone can learn the piano to a standard that will impress and well as give you the freedom to play what you wish on the piano.

My lessons are currently charged at £30.00 per hour and £17.50 per half hour for all of my students.
I teach lessons from my home, where I hope to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment, whilst learning to play the piano.
I firmly believe that music should be for everyone & because of this, I teach students of all ages in a wide range of genres.
Cancelled lessons are expected to be made up, with consultation with the teacher. If it is possible to do so, every effort will be made to rearrange the lesson. If it is not possible, I would appreciate payment for the cancelled lesson.
Not much at all - a small notebook would be a great thing to bring. Other than that just yourself and a healthy dose of motivation to start learning the piano!
